Alternativna televizija

ATV is a private company owned by K-2 Audio Service and Infinity Media, both of which are owned by Đorđe Đurić. This company operates Alternativna Televizija, Radio A, and the online media outlet.

Alternativna Televizija (ATV) first aired in 1997. The commercial television station, based in Banja Luka currently employs around 160 people.

In 2022, the United States imposed sanctions on ATV due to its connection with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, allegations which the company denied. The US Department of Treasury asserted that ATV is owned by a company closely linked to the Dodik family and that Dodik himself exerts personal control over ATV behind the scenes.

“Dodik acquired ATV to deliberately and expressly further his own agenda, which includes his efforts to denigrate other political figures, burnish his public image, and advance his own personal and political goals,” Department of Treasury said in statement.

The statement also indicated that Dodik has granted ATV-related contracts directly to members of his family and that he has substantially increased funding for ATV in recent years, engaging in malign propagandic media campaigns through the company.
